This update adds a new facility—a new resort hotel—as well as other new features and activities. The free update can be enjoyed by Animal Crossing™: New Horizons players on both the Nintendo Switch™ 2 and Nintendo Switch systems.

Join Kapp’n’s family at a new resort hotel

Work together with Kapp’n’s family to turn the island into a vacation destination. Decorate guest rooms according to theme, select outfits for visitors and spread good vibes among the tourists.

Decorate rooms for hotel guests

Design guest rooms based on all kinds of themes, like Seaside Room. Create a uniquely decorated hideaway for each guest!

Say “Hi!” to sightseeing tourists

You might spot hotel guests touring the island, visiting the museum, shopping at Nook’s Cranny, or strolling along the beach. Strike up a conversation and represent your island with pride.

Set the style for island vibes

Dress mannequins in outfits for hotel guests to borrow during their stay. You can create fashionable looks that match your island’s vibe or the season.

Invite guests with amiibo

Scan compatible amiibo™ figures and cards* to invite your favorite characters to stay at the resort hotel.

Craft special island goods using DIY

Tom Nook wants to spread the word about the things that make your island special. Help him out by taking on requests! Gather materials, craft items, and get the items delivered in exchange for hotel tickets.

Crafting menu open to Wooden wardrobe DIY recipe. There is now an option to choose to craft more than one item at a time.

Get exclusive items with hotel tickets

You can earn hotel tickets by designing guest rooms and crafting island specialty DIY items and submitting them. Exchange them in the souvenir shop for hotel novelties and exclusive items.

Start fresh with a new dream world

With a Nintendo Switch Online membership**, you can visit Slumber Island to terraform, build, and decorate with friends and family together to create a dream island! And with three islands available, you can create your own little vacation paradise.

  • Four different large-size island options including with rivers, non-terraformed, and terraformed with cliffs. Caption: Choose the size of the island: small, medium, or large.

Get help tidying your island

Resetti can clear out flowers, decorations, and more. Any items he collects can be safely stored away, just in case you need them later.

You can store a total of 9,000 items—including trees, shrubs, and flowers!

By helping at the hotel and increasing its island brand recognition, the souvenir shop will start carrying Nintendo products, including retro toys and classic game systems.

LEGO® items

LEGO® items—including furniture and fashion, such as a bed, a table, a tee shirt, and more—will be available via Nook Shopping. These in-game items come in a variety of colors, so mix and match to find combinations you like!

The Legend of Zelda X amiibo

Furniture and fashion items inspired by The Legend of Zelda series will become available by tapping compatible Legend of Zelda series amiibo figures. Plus, newly added characters Tulin and Mineru can visit your island. You can even invite them to move there!

Splatoon X amiibo

If you tap a compatible amiibo figure from the Splatoon series, Cece or Viché can visit your island. Plus, Splatoon collaboration items can add a splash of color to the scenery!
